Shake Out, Don't Freak Out.

An Earthquake is defined as a phenomenon , this is the “shaking” of the earth’s surface as a result of a sudden release of energy from the lithosphere.

Earthquakes can occur anywhere on earth, however,  Most of the world’s earthquakes occur in a place called the Ring of Fire, in the Pacific Ocean, where the Philippines is located. The Belt traces boundaries between many tectonic plates, as a result, there is a lot of movement. This consequently makes it geologically active and is considered a very “violent” place from a seismological perspective. Moreover, there are many underwater active volcanoes that line these boundaries, hence the name: Ring of Fire.
Earthquakes can never be predicted with current technology. So we must be prepared and ready always. Because  the effects can vary from minor structural damages to buildings to complete collapse, resulting in loss of life and property. Sometimes, when an earthquake originates from the middle of the ocean, it can cause extremely large and destructive waves called tsunamis.
National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill seeks to strengthen the mechanism for national and regional coordination, as well as the interoperability of key players. It also aims to intensify local communities’ earthquake preparedness and increase the commitment of local government units in building safe communities.

Earthquakes strike without warning, life-protecting actions must be taken immediately
at the first indication of ground shaking. There will not be time to think through what to do.
Therefore, of all earthquake preparedness measures, earthquake drills are the most important.
Their purpose is to help tye people to learn how to REACT immediately and
appropriately.

During a damaging earthquake, life-protecting actions must be taken immediately.
There will not be time to decide what to do next; everyone must already know
how to react appropriately. After an earthquake, further life-protecting actions such
as emergency evacuation or first aid administration may be necessary; well-trained
staff and students will guarantee that these crucial steps are taken as quickly as
possible.
Earthquake drills and exercises are an extremely important part of your
preparedness plan because they  teach the people how to respond
to the complications of an actual earthquakes.
In conclusion, an Earthquake is a great and terrifying phenomenon of Earth. It shows the frailty of humans against nature. It is a tremendous occurrence that certainly shocks everyone. Above all, Earthquake lasts only for a few seconds but can cause unimaginable damage. So we must be prepared and ready always. All of us need to take a role in helping protect each other and our families and friends in the event of an emergency.
